Cookies. Why Cookies? Lots of reasons.

For my family…I mean, who doesn’t love a yummy, gooey cookie? When my kids were little a cookie could bring a smile to the crankiest one in the bunch. When they hit their teens, it meant I better make a double batch so they could share with their friends. (I mean, how else was I going to find out what was going on in their lives?) And now as adults I honestly believe they can smell the aroma from their own homes because it never fails that one of them will show up hungry.

For my friends…whether they are having a great day or a lonely day a homemade cookie brings a smile to their faces. I love it when that happens!

And now for you…the hope of ringing a smile, a warm homey feeling, a sweet memory to mind…this is why I bake.
